I'm still around. I can't wait to get my thyroid sorted out properly. I have a Doctor's appointment this Friday to see what my latest blood test shows. At the previous Doctor's appointment my thyroid function had only improved 1 point after six weeks of medication. So my thyroxine intake was upped to 100mg a day. My guess is that the dosage will be increased again this week. At my last visit the Doc also threw around the concept that I may have HASHIMOTO'S. I haven't done any relevent research into this as yet but think I probably should before I go back on Friday.
My husband and I have been eating very well and it is really showing on my hubby. Unfortunatley with me and my messed up thyroid it is going to take a little longer and just this morning for example my weight has flucuated between 108.7kg and 104.6kg. Now don't get me wrong I don't normally weigh that often. The battery is brand new, so it can't be that. Maybe I shouldn't weigh at all.
We are off to Townsville after the Doctor Friday. Powderfinger Friday night and my almost 17 year old would like to shop on Saturday morning as it is her birthday next Wednesday. WOn't be long and she will be a P Plater. YIKES!!
My partner has thyroid issues as well, he sees his specialist once every 6 months now... it's been like 2 years and they are still tinkering with his thyroxine dosage!!
ReplyDeleteI am starting to get concerned about mine... before I went into hospital with pancreatitis, apparently my levels were low-ish but ok...
Since then, I had an xray at the chiropractor after my car accident, and because of some calcification (or something) in my gland, he just assumed I had thyroid problems... oh dear, best I go back to the docs now I think!
And don't be scared about your girl on P-plates... I remember my nana having a freak out when I got my licence, and it just made me so much more nervous! All the confidence in the world, and she will be ok :)
